Oh Technology

I just love how there are so many ways to entertain ourselves or know anything we want. Just think not too long ago the internet came about, and now you can go on it with a phone that fits in your pocket. Some people take these new things for granted or like to keep it traditional. Which I try to keep it traditional and rely on talking to people in person, but it sure is convenient to meet up with a text or a message somehow.

Or even look at this, blogs. Normally you would have to buy a book to have all this stuff in it. Go figure.

Big Things

They always seem to hit us when we least expect it, or whenever we set all of our will into them. For some like me I let them come at me day by day. But I always forget the freedom we have to do anything we want, so if you want to make big things happen... you can! Just takes a little work and in time it's all yours.

Shoot just look at everything thing around you. If we didn't push ourselves to achieve or want more, then you wouldn't see anything around you. Just sleeping outside on the ground.

I guess the whole idea behind this whole thing is to realize how good we have it. And simply if you want something, take it... Or at least make some goals to earn it.

Phone crazy

Yup how crazy is it that we can do just about anything you ever wanted from your phone? I remember back in the good old days that you had to be filthy rich to have a cell phone the size of a brick. Basically if you wanted to get a hold of somebody you had to know their home phone number and they and to be at home! Otherwise you had to literally phone tag people to find them or go where their parents said they went, if they even told their parents.

Luckily these days it doesn't take much to find out where the closest public restroom is, to know how to make spaghetti caserole, or even know what kind of trouble Paris is into again. All with the simple use of a cell phone. Shoot probably won't need a phone in the future, just something that looks like a Bluetooth ear piece and all the info just pops in your head.

Well crazy thing is this blog was all done on my phone. Go figure.

Realized

Ya I was just thinking of how good food is. And how amazing it is we can do or whatever we want with it.

Basically I've had some expensive food an d ate every single piece, cause it cost a lot and was worth every penny. And on the other I have bought so much bad cheap food it is ridiculous. But with the cheap food I have at times bought and didn't even eat. Adding it all up i could of had a couple more of those expensive, delicious, succulent dinners.

Only in America where we squander the little things and cherish the expensive.

Just some weird stuff that comes to mind these days.

And great, now I'm hungry.

Holy Crap

Can life be any busier? Just when you think you have a system down, life just keeps going and doesn't let up. But hey if things can still move on and thy are good, can't really complain.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to get some pics up of a recent skate demo I had to run last weekend. Until then stay thirsty my friends.

Another trip

And yes within a week I manage to make it down to the LA area. This time to see a slew of reps and check out a bunch of different gear for the Spring 2011 season.

Let's just say there is some awesome stuff in the works. Can't really decide on a favorite, but you'll see for yourself come January - March!

Ya not cool

Totally blowing it on this bad boy. But here is some fun news!

Got the mad hook up on some gear and some good times in LA yesterday. Took off at 5am picked up Melisa and G-Brock and was on our way to Huntington Beach. First stopped by Team BK to check out the Emerica, eS, and Altamont lines for Spring 2011. And left with more gear than I can carry!

Next made a little phone call to the Girl Warehouse and got our skate on. It was an amazing sesh, dripping sweat in the Torrance heat. Then grabbed a couple boards from the warehouse thanks to Peter and was on our way to LA.

Cruised through some amazing traffic and got to The Hundreds warehouse right on time. Met with our man D and checked out the Spring/ Summer line for 2011. And of course the The Hundreds Footware man Keith gave us the run down, and it looked way good! Then made our way to the warehouse to grab a bag full of goodies for the ride home.

We did miss out on a Volcom fashion show, but shoot we had a drive ahead of us. Headed home and picked up some Taco Bell for dinner. But best song on the way back... "Thong Song" for sure!

Thanks again to all the people who came and hooked it up with some fun times. Who knew work could ever be so fun!

Lazy Dayz

Ya looks like I have been in a drunken daze for the past couple weeks. Well not the entire time, just days off when i would normally update.

Otherwise I believe it's time to get some shredding and photo taking on! Should have some cool pics up later.

Some of the Greats

There are many people that deserve to be apart of a list called the Greats. But two that come to mind, mainly cause I have recently seen their movies, is Bill Murray and Steve Martin.

These two have seriously paved the way for many comedians. The have truly gone above and beyond in their field. Especially when you look back on movies they've done, where they didn't have all the special effects and large budgets for many. What they did was give you an experience with a character.

I say this too because I have recently revisited some old movies of the two that really reminded me of these things.

Bill Murray in "Caddyshack" and "Ground Hog Day" were simply great. For being two different types of roles, yet both taking the characters to above and beyond levels. And let's just say watch after the credits in "Zombieland" and it will just bring you back.

As for Steve Martin I recently watched "The Jerk" also he did a small introduction for a best of Monty Python. In "The Jerk" he keeps his composure while revealing drastic emotions. And even the introduction for Monty Python is just classic prop humor that is done great.

But the one thing you get out of watching these guys is pure enjoyment. Plus I laughed my ass off. How else can you wrong with that. If anything out of all of this, just watch one of their movies and enjoy. You sure won't regret it like "Garfield."

Getting off your Ass

Basically to at least have any sort of fun you first have to initialize it. It can be as easy as standing outside and taking in a big deep breath, to traveling thousands of miles to be somewhere fun. But it all just takes that little voice inside to say, "Let's do this."

I know many times myself, I will just be sitting there and thinking I should do something. But I don't. I just sit there and watch TV or go on the internet, as I am now. Anyways there are times when just sitting around getting a nice little home fix never really hurt anyone.

As for you as a person though you need to get out and experience things first hand. With out experiences you can't really learn anything about you, others, life, etc. Even if you well I read this here and saw this on TV there, you are still experiencing it. But you are doing so through someone else. Someone who had the experience and is giving it to you. Now how Fun would it be for you to do that? To go experience something and be able to share it any which way you wanted.

So get off your ass and experience life, and don't forget to have fun doing it.

"The Having Fun Manual"

Introduction

Today I realized that having an amazing hobby that you truly love can make a world of difference. Even with all the crazy turmoil of the world, down to good friends going through hard times. Having your escape just makes everything go away and yet give you so much back.

Sometimes it doesn't work for everybody. Such as, the hobby just doesn't fulfill them as it used to. Or they just have so much messed up stuff in their life that even doing something they love can't fix it for them.

Which today was my plan to help a friend in need to get his mind off some troubling times. So I thought about it and cam up with "The Having Fun Manual." It's a multiple part series in which I can teach you to have fun. So every once in a while I'll just put up things I think might be fun, but hey who knows if it really is until you try it or I actually try it myself.

This was from a nice little trip to LA with the homies. But the only time to skate the spot is late at night. So by the time we get there we've been skating all day and we're exhausted. So I end up going around and taking some fun photos.

So it has been some time since I've busted out my camera. And what better time to than driving? Ya I know, bad idea. But here are a couple shots from the road and some others I took recently.















And to tell you the truth, this photo set up took forever to figure out. I had to get all the images the right size, so they fit all nice and pretty. Should be a lot easier now that I know.

And Another One

Not sure if anyone would remember the novel turned full length feature "The Stand" by Steven King. But man is it long. But hey that's the only way to make a novel into a movie. Plus it makes it more interactive when it's on laser disc. Let's just say instead of one DVD, there are 3 giant disc's the size of records. Awesome.

What's Ordinary?

It's always a hard thing to say no or give people rejection. I just wish there was some way to easily explain it's not them, but the system we're in that needs it to be this way. And to tell them the potential is there, but someone else has the extra step above them at the moment.

Well one day they will learn. Cause if you don't fail, you'll never know what to change to make yourself better.

Some great things went down today. Some football and more random movies.

The Never Ending Story (3 stars) Simply a child hood classic.

The Never Ending Story 2 (2.5 stars) Mainly the kid this time around is way too much of a puss.

Plus the first time ever watching the show Lost, which I completely was. And Grey's Anatomy, which was pretty good considering it was the Thanksgiving episode. So normally the show doesn't work like that. But hey Sport Center recovers the rest.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun (3 stars) Mainly because it stars a young Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt. Pretty funny seeing them in those kind of movies.

Ya pretty random, but still pretty entertaining. And remember you have to watch a bunch of different movies to be a good critic.

The Begining

Just getting things going can be fun. Like starting a new. You never know what's to come, what's ahead, or who you'll meet. But one things for sure... many new experiences.
